Cheryl Beckel provides retail leasing and merchandising services to development and institutional owners nationally. With nearly 19 years of experience, her knowledge in merchandise plan development and leasing has created value for community, lifestyle, urban, hospital, University and resort retail throughout the US. Cheryl currently is a Vice President for BMW Realty Advisors. She is responsible for the leasing of Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara, CA along with securing new properties and business opportunities. Over the last 11 years Cheryl was responsible for the leasing and providing repositioning advisory services for projects such as La Brea (Los Angeles, CA), Paseo Nuevo (Santa Barbara, CA), Centerpoint (Tempe, AZ), International Market Place (Honolulu, HI), Pacific Place (Seattle, WA) Kukui`ula Village (Kauai, HI), Kakaako (Honolulu, HI), Del Mar Plaza (Del Mar, CA), Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago, IL), and Melrose Avenue (Los Angeles, CA) properties.
Prior to joining BMW Realty Advisors, Ms. Beckel was a Vice President of Leasing for Madison Marquette for eleven years. She also worked as a leasing representative for General Growth Properties. Prior to this Ms. Beckel was a Regional Leasing Manager for Glimcher Realty Trust where she was responsible for leasing over 24 regional and super-regional shopping malls across the country, including several development projects. Cheryl got her start in the retail industry as an Inventory Planner for The Limited. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Marketing and Transportation & Logistics.
